Talisa Haskins
Founder and Practice Director, MACP,
Clinical Supervisor, Registered Psychotherapist
Choosing the right therapist is all about finding the perfect fit. The same is true for selecting a clinical supervisor. If you're looking to build or refine your clinical skills in a supportive, empathetic, and affirming environment, Talisa might be the ideal supervisor for you.

With over 5 years of hands-on clinical experience, Talisa brings a wealth of practical skills to the table. Her diverse background includes work in hospital, prison, and private clinical settings, giving her a well-rounded perspective that she shares with her supervisees. Talisa’s current focus is on general mental health treatment, covering areas such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, life transitions, and personal development. She has a particular specialization in working with adults and aviation professionals.

Talisa is also passionate about supporting fellow therapists, especially those recovering from burnout. As someone who has walked that path herself, she understands the unique challenges of the profession and is dedicated to promoting healing and longevity in the field. Talisa is trained in various therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She blends constructivist and humanistic theories to create a personalized approach for each client.
When Talisa began her journey as a Registered Psychotherapist, she experienced a lack of support and guidance from her own supervisors. This led to feelings of self-doubt and the pervasive presence of imposter syndrome. Recognizing the critical need for strong, tailored supervision, Talisa committed herself to creating a better learning environment for the next generation of therapists.
As the Founder and Director of The Journey Counselling and Psychotherapy, Talisa is passionate about helping new therapists transition into solo practice. Beyond clinical supervision, she offers business coaching and mentorship to ensure you’re equipped for success in every aspect of your practice.
Talisa is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#009347) and a Non-Certified Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. .Talisa is now accepting supervisees for individual, dyadic, and group supervision sessions.
Talisa is excited to offer a specialized group supervision session once a month, focusing on the unique challenges and ethical implications of private practice. This isn’t business coaching—it’s a deep dive into applying the CRPO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics to your clinical work.
