Her Approach

Somdatta adopts a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. Working primarily through a cognitive-behavioural lens, she incorporates attachment theories and strength-based perspectives to support her clients. Her areas of interest and expertise include grief and loss, depression and anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-esteem issues, gender and sexuality concerns, as well as shame and guilt in relationships. She firmly believes therapy is most effective when it empowers individuals to connect with their inner strengths and fosters a collaborative, trusting relationship.
